Okay, so with COVID and shitty office hours and just being behind in general, my truck that was in storage was sold to pay the storage fees by the storage place to someone I do not know. Not looking for judgement here.
Honestly fine, our storage fees were more than the truck was worth. We probably got out from under that beast payment relatively scot-free.
Here's where it gets funny: got a call today from the guy who supposedly bought the truck. Wants to know if we have the title. He can pay for us to send it to him. What am I looking at here? We don't own the truck anymore, and the title should be null and void, right? Why would he want to pay me for it? I though the cost to retitle was negligible with proof of rightful ownership... We did that on a trailer whose title burned up and his dad died before getting a new one... all he needs is proof of rightful ownership, which he should have from the storage place...
