Last night, I received a check in the mail for about $1,000 for a cancelled car warranty. I had a 2017 that was totaled which I had purchased an extended warranty on but I hadn’t thought about this when my car was totaled. My question is, is this check legit? would they have automatically cancelled my warranty and issued a check? Everything about it seems kind of sketchy. I’m trying to find a number I can call to confirm the check before I deposit it but am not having much Luck. The car is a Toyota and the check is from Toyota Motor Credit Corportation. I know I need to try to get into contact with Accounts Payable but am not sure what number to call. Can anyone provide advice to me as to what to do?
