US, West Virginia driver, looking for insurance. I don't drive much at all, probably in the range of only 200 to 300 miles a month, if not less. With how little I drive, is saving on car insurance possible?

Post Body

I'm aware of companies like Metromile that offer a per-mile car insurance, but I've been struggling to find anything in WV that offers those sorts of services. Either way, it just feels like I should be able to find some sort of insurance company that would offer discounted rates for very low mileage. After all, the whole point of insurance is to balance the amount I pay as a customer versus the risk that I pose to the company, and I'd figure with how little use my car gets, it's not even on the road frequently enough to pose that big of a risk.

Is this the sort of thing that certain companies offer better rates for, and/or that I might be able to negotiate my way into lower rates because of my driving habits? Or am I pretty much just forced to pay "standard" higher rates regardless of what my usage is?
