Hello all, I need some advice. I'm a poor kid from southern Tennessee who never had money. I am an attorney now and my wife is a high school teacher. Together we make $135,000 a year with two kids. We make more money than anyone in my family has ever made but we can't save anything. She has school debt ($54,000) and so do I ($120,000) and no matter what we do we live paycheck to paycheck. I have been homeless as a teen and young twenties, dug through garbage for food and I don't want my children ever to go through that. I feel I finally escaped my poverty but now just feel stuck. Any helpful advice? I live in upstate New York btw.
