Asking for a major raise/promotion after 6 months after being with the company
Post Body

6 Months ago I accepted an offer for a mid-level position at this large company, The base salary is $75k with 2% starting bonus. This was after multiple negotiations where I wanted at least $90k, but I was told that I wasn't eligible for a senior level role. I ended up biting the bullet and accepting the offer.

Now, I have a very niche skill set that is proven to be very valuable to the company. The services that I provide can potentially save the company millions of dollars in the long run. Additionally, my responsibilities have increased. I have been training junior and senior developers; I have been conducting interviews, working in DevOps, Creating Documentation for knowledge transfer, doing presentations as well as the usual development work.

According to Glassdoor, I am underpaid by $10,000. (Software Developer with 4 years of experience), but I am doing senior level work and I would like to be a senior developer, or get a pay increase of at least 30%.

How can I approach this problem? Should I just send an email to my manager stating these facts and demanding a raise? Or should I do interviews at other companies and getting offers and negotiate with my current company to match/give me a bigger pay bump?

Any advice here would be highly appreciated. I'd like to make the right move here.
