I was in a car accident a few months ago. A woman hit me from behind and totaled my car. I went to the er and had 2 months of chiropractor work done. When I spoke to the chiropractor after the insurance admitted it's client was 100% at fault, he told me I wouldnt pay anything and the woman's car insurance would cover it. I went through the therapy and felt better. The other day my lawyer contacted me with my settlement, and told me I owed the chiropractor $1100. This is the additional balance that remains after the insurance paid their rates. He is part of a billing group. My lawyer told.me.he spoke to him and he isn't budging. I want to go speak to him personally this week, but I want to go prepared. What should I know/who should I speak to about this? It's not my insurance that is payed him, should I contact the woman's insurance about this?
Tldr? Chiropractor is balance billing me after a car accident.
