So I had an account for Sling TV. I just started it on May 30th with a full year subscription to the Hindi package. It came with a roku and I thought it was a great deal for someone who is short on money. I cut the cord on my satellite package and got the hindi package for my grandparents. A few months ago (October) a new charge showed on my credit card from sling for 38.99$. I was no where near my house (traveling for work) and my grandparents only watch Star Plus. They do not touch anything else. I called sling and told them that I did not make the charge. They said that I did they my web account, which is completely safe. They refused to remove the charge. I then went to Discover and disputed the charge as I had obviously not made a purchase through sling.
After about 2 months discover, early this morning (12:07 am), sent me an email saying that the dispute has been found in my favor. Great!...
Sling at (1:24 am) had gave me standard cancellation email...https://imgur.com/a/xtyPt03. Being the middle of the night, me and my family were all asleep and I did not notice the fact until later in the day.
After reading the email, I checked my sling account to find it was completely canceled despite me having over 6 months left on my service. The Sling Terms and Conditions state that I should continue to get the service. I am kinda lost on what to do next, as I cannot afford to pay for a new subscription and losing over 100$ worth of content that I paid for is a hard hit. Should I despute my original payment for the service, as it looks like sling has no plans to refund me?
Also, my grandparents only watch Star Plus, and it looks like sling is getting rid of it on January 4th (https://imgur.com/a/4KEYgOI). Are there any other live streaming options, that my grandparents (85 ) would be able to work? We live in the US, and there are no local options that work. The netflix, pick a show to stream style, is not something they could do without me, and I don't live with them anymore, so it would have to be live streaming. I want to move away from Sling after this horrible customer support.
edit: Sling incorrectly charged me for the 38.99. I did not make the purchase. They refused to refund me the money and only would give me credit despite it being a problem on their end.
