Trying to bounce back after period of overspending. Am I doing this right?

Post Body

These last few months have been loaded with stress and obligations as well as lots of fun summer stuff. We have been living beyond our means and also had MULTIPLE costly unexpected expenses.

We’ve managed to gather a little CC debt because of all of this and put a short freeze on long term savings which has me stressed beyond belief.

Last night I sat down for an hour making a comprehensive budget on google docs that will outline spending/saving/paying debt. We can very comfortably get back to good financial standing in about 3 months conservatively without making any major lifestyle changes.

Am I doing this right?? I feel guilty and stressed and awful but I’m trying to fix it before there’s any irreversible damage. Can someone just give me a virtual pat on the back and say it’s going to be okay and I’m doing the right thing? This just feels shameful and irresponsible...
