As the title says, I left a bar on Friday night without clearing out my tab. I haven't gone back to get it yet, and I now see that there are four charges on my credit card (they've cleared), which are all different, ranging from $23 to $27. One of these charges is correct, as I bought one round of two drinks.
I know that sometimes bars will charge a fee for forgetting your card, but I imagine in that case I'd see one larger charge. I also know that sometimes merchants can accidentally double charge, but then I'd expect all the charges to be the same.
What is the best thing to do in this situation? Should I dispute all of the charges, even if one of them is appropriate?
edit: I've just been to the bar and they provided four receipts. One had a different name on it so they refunded me (in cash), and one is the round I know I ordered. The other two have no name on them at all, and are later than the one I know is correct, but they said they're not inherently suspicious so I need to dispute them with my credit card company. I'm going to do this - is it unlikely that the card company will approve it as I'm only disputing two of the four?
