Dad is hitting 70.5 years old next year and has a question about RMD. If he has both 401k and IRA, does he NEED to withdraw from both, or can he combine his RMD and withdraw from one account (IRA) only?
Post Body

Since my dad's 401k provides more interest than his IRA, he was hoping to be able to basically withdraw from his IRA account only, and continue to let his 401k account sit. Is this possible? I couldn't find a clear answer online. Thanks everyone!
