Are donations to non-profits tax-deducible if you work there?
Post Body

Hello! I work at a humane society, which is a non-profit, and I see things that we need and want to just buy it myself. Where I usually don't "care" about claiming tax-deducible donations since I understand that most often, you have to put in a lot for it to really matter. However, I imagine over a year's time, I could potentially donate a decent amount. But my question is, does it still count if I am employed at the place I'm donating to? I still plan on donating things, but its a matter of whether or not I should keep track of it.
