I just went down to the ATM to put a little cash in for the week, I recently lost my job and haven't been hired anywhere else yet, so money's been pretty tight. I was surprised to see that my checking balance was a whopping $800 higher than it should've been, as that account had recently been completely emptied by me. I took my card out and tried again, still there. I took pictures of the screen as proof. What do I do? Is there any way I can (morally and legally) keep it? Who should I get in contact with? This is really stressing me out. I don't wanna get in any trouble.
Edit: Alright, not gonna touch it. Wasn't planning to, but good to know that was the right move. I'm on hold with the bank right now for a customer service person.
Edit 2: Yep, just got put into the wrong account. They'd already picked up on it and it should be back to normal tomorrow.
