Hi, my mom just checked her online banking account and saw that an Israel-based electricity company had billed her for $1000 (we live in Montreal, Canada). She called her bank (BMO) and froze her accounts, yet after explaining her situation and being told that the bank would investigate she received a call saying that they didn't have any proof of it not being her own charges??? I'm very confused as to how this happened, my mother has never been to israel and has no connections there. What should we do at this point? Can she get her money back?
