I graduate in a few months and while I don't have a full time job locked down yet, I'd like to have an idea for what to do with getting a car loan when I do. Currently I have a 30 year old car that gets about 15 miles/gal. I live about 25 miles from the office of the company I have the best chance for getting a full time position at. Commuting by bus isn't an option as it would take 2 hours at least one way. If I am to start there I'd be making 17/hr which increases every 1100 hours worked or so.
I took out my first credit card in September and according to credit karma I have about 710 for that score. Basically what is the best way approaching a used car loan? Also if anyone has advice on good commuter cars let me know!
