Offer from another bank to open up new accounts, get cash. Any way to get my current bank to try to keep me?

Post Body

I got an offer in the mail to effectively earn 3.3% of an investment after 6 months. (open an account with $15,000, get 500 after 6 months). Is it common practice for people to bounce between banks, and if so, is there any reason my current bank would be interested in matching / beating this? Is this something I could do such as going to my current bank and get them to try to retain me as a customer? Or, is it just worth taking the offer as it stands.
