Iโ€™m having a hard time figuring out which option (if there is one) would be better.

When I turn 50 in April of 2027 part of my retirement package is a FERS supplement that amounts to $20k a year until age 62.

If my employer forces me out on disability I lose this supplement however at age 62 my retirement is then recalculated.

Full retirement at age 50 is $98k with the supplement.

Disability before age 62 is $78k but after the recalculation becomes $106k.

So financially, if thereโ€™s an option, which is better?
