Rent and Budgeting for 1 Person
Post Body

Hello, Iโ€™d like to move out on my own but I live in a HCOL city. Iโ€™m tied to my job here and cannot WFH as it is a trade. I currently make $30/hr, full time. My take home pay usually ranges from $3840-$4000 (medical insurance is deducted every paycheck). My monthly budget would be as follows:

  • Rent with Utilities: $1600
  • Internet: $60
  • Spotify: $17
  • Phone: $50
  • Gas: $200
  • Car Insurance: $95
  • Food: $400
  • Gym: $30

Total Monthly Expenses = $2452 Leftover = $1388

I would like to live alone. I really donโ€™t care for going out to eat or spend on entertainment. I can do it every now and then, but iโ€™m not one to need it all the time. Any suggestions? Can I move out alone?
