Question, if you cannot overperform the market, why not everyone invest in an ETF of sp500 in long term ?
Post Body

Hi ! First of all, Iโ€™m completely illiterate in finance, Iโ€™m in healthcare, but I always like try to understand how this kind of things works

So mine is not a statement, is just a question

If only few people (I know buffet does) can over perform the market, and in long term it adjust every fluctuations, and grow more then inflation, and sp500 is representative of the market, it would not be so easy just copy the sp500 index to make your money grow ?

Whatโ€™s the catch or the mistake ? (Could you explain me in quite understandable terms)

Thanks a lot, Have a good day !!
