Should I apply for Chase Sapphire?
Post Body

I saw Chase has a pretty good promotion for their Chase Sapphire card (75k points if you send 4k in three months) and am on the fence about whether I should apply. I am a remote worker who travels full-time and am very into card hacking and maximizing points. I have Capital One Venture card and Venture X, which amounts to $495 a year for both. For me, the unlimited lounge access, annual points bonus and some of the other perks make them more than worth it. I got the Venture in April 2023 and the Venture X in February of this year. I have a credit score of 730-740.

Could you share your opinions about Chase Sapphire?

For more info, I mainly use my credit cards to book flights and cover larger purchases so I can get the points. I'm often travelling in countries with cash-based economies so I don't tend to use them day-to-day. I'm sure I could hit their 4k threshold so that wouldn't be an issue, I'm only hesitating because 1. Will it hurt my credit to apply for another card so soon after getting the Venture X? 2. I don't really need another card but that 75k offer is really appealing... I might be getting ahead of myself, and if so, I would appreciate someone telling me to pump the breaks.

Thank you for the advice!
