Post Body

Im starting a family for the first time, and Im tax dumb. Completly ignorant on it. I have no idea what would be the better solution.

Im getting married this year, she has a 4 month old. I am supporting them both.
We reside in the state of TN

Some say even if I do claim Married -2, or Married - 3 Ill still get a ton at end-of-year filings.
) dependents.
What should I do for withholdings on my paycheck every pay period? Claim as Single - 0 ? Like I have been doing? Im getting different answers.

Some say claim Single - 0 and then get a crap ton of $ at the end by claiming Married - 2
Some say by claiming married -2 at withholdings Ill either owe, or break even at the end of year tax return season

Some say even if I do claim Married -2, or Married - 3 Ill still get a ton at end of year filings.
