My parents once told me the story of a woman who came from China and had a successful career in America or some western country, and when her parents left the world, she inherited everything, but then she died. She had no husband. She did marry once but they divorced. She had no children from that relationship.
Would the country search for distant relatives of the deceased person, especially if all distant relatives are living in a western-hostile country like China? Or would the government take the assets?
