Howdy.
Prior service guy, got out and dealing with the aftermath of debt due to moving so much. Currently I am at my wits end due to my credit card from NFCU, charging so much interest at 18%. I'm trying to pay it down but I don't make much money and I've been trying my hardest to improve my situation but nothing is coming back.
But, My current balance is 23,445 with my interest rates costing me around 341.41 a month. I've been in the red so much and I feel I'm losing the battle here.
I seriously have no idea how to pay this down or change things. I tried calling NFCU and all they did was a deferment for a month, but then they never changed the date so now I'm going to go back in the red further on the 2nd. I begged and pleaded with them to close the card because the interest rates are killing me (borderline literally).
I'm trying to get the hell out of my current location due to crime being so bad but I'm afraid I wont get approved due to my debt.
I'm not sure how much information I can put but I'm seriously not sure what else I can do for myself.
And I feel I honestly can't win (and I'm typing this in the midst of a mental health crisis).
Any advice or tricks or tools that can help or something. I have no idea how to proceed.
