What to do with a Roth IRA on Vanguard?

A couple of months ago I started a Roth IRA with Vanguard and currently have a little over 3000 dollars in this account. Going into it I always believed that Roth IRA's do not require maintenance and just built themselves on their own. I did a little more research and found out that I should be investing this money that is in my Roth account? If anyone has any recommendations on what to invest in inside of a Roth IRA I would greatly appreciate it.
