Paid Home Insurance Instead of Escrow
Post Body
I received my homeowner insurance bill in the mail and reflexively paid it on the insurers website. Not long after the lightbulb went on: this expense is part of the escrow that I pay into each month along with P&I. Does anyone know what will happen? Will the insurance company refund my payment automatically? Will they reject the escrow payment causing an escrow overage for the year? The latter isnβt necessarily a deal-breaker; Iβm currently paying a bit more to cover an escrow shortage from the first year and the revised amount for this year. Will this all settle up in the end with either a refund or a lower payment after the next escrow analysis?
