I do not like the ending of the game tbh. Everybody talks about how emotional it is and how they cried but to be perfectly honest, I think it's a copout. Persona 5 has a bittersweet ending, with you leaving all of your friends behind but you DO get to take your cat with you. Here though, they decide that Makoto Yuki must die in Aigis' arms (which btw is so weird like i actively told her i wanted nothing to do with that why she doin this) bc plot reasons when it would be perfectly reasonable for him to just live. I know the game is about 'accepting your impending doom' and that Nyx was death itself, but that doesn't equate to "the shadow death god that those guys in a lab made is unstoppable". It has the makings of a great ending, but they ruin it at the end by just killing the MC to illicit sadness and make it memorable.
If anyone has some insight as to what I'm missing, or agrees, do let me know.
