For some reason, every time I boot up P3R (PC game pass), the game boots in 720x404. It's kind of funny but also mildly infuriating and an inconvenience, as I have to go into display config and get this - if I hit default settings - it goes to perfect normal 1366x768, which fits my screen correctly and looks nice and crisp.

Even stranger, if I goof with the settings at all before I hit H and default them back to 1366x768, even if I do hit the default, it displays with pretty thick empty space top and bottom and I have to close and reopen the game to do the fix, and make sure I hit absolutely nothing but H and then confirm the setting.. or I have to do it over again.

What is this fuckery? Why isn't it loading in the default settings to begin with? I never changed them. Is it a bug? Is my PC stupid? Am I doing something wrong here? I can follow directions pretty well, but I am not particularly PC-Tech-savvy and my Google searches have turned up pretty unhelpful.

No other game, program, whatever, EVER does this for me.. I am at a loss.
