A followup to the previous post.
Got the pericarditis diagnosis the other night- er gave me a strong NSAID script that I wasn't comfortable taking so went to my primary doctor-
We went through treatment options and basically figured we can try one week on ibuprofen and depending on if it works or not can decide in a week whether to add colchicine or not.
Figured it may be worth asking though- can NSAID itself be enough or is colchicine a must?
Personally the side effects of these drugs worry me especially as someone already either acid reflux/gi issues.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
