My quick playtime with the Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM.
Post Body

I got a few minutes to try it out today. Definitely need some quality time getting used to the size and weight of it. Even on the tripod it was still a little shaky but I did have the ball head a bit more loose than usual to maneuver it around. So not entirely sure if it is me or the lens being a little softer at full 500mm or not. Here are some of the shots I got:

Honey bees doing their thing. I got pretty close to them maybe around 20 feet away.

Newest batch of honey bees. Same distance.

Baby toad. A couple feet away enough to get the lens to focus.

Humming bird. This guy was probably a good 1-200 feet away

Butterfly. Was a bit farther back behind the humming bird

The crane: AKA frog eater. He was a good 3-400 feet away.

Apparently I spoiled the mood and he took off quite a bit farther down. Was in no way ready for him to take off and I ended up lifting the camera up with the tripod still attacked to follow him.
