You can blame Ted Lasso for this post...random digressions...people are saying this 3rd season isn't that great. I disagree. Sure its deep and not as happy, but it is resolving a lot and I think Ted has evolved over the 3 seasons. We needed him happy during the Pandemic, but now we need him real. Anyway, majorly off track here.
Whether you are single or have a significant other do you ever have those moments where you just want to get real with someone? Completely real, scream into the void and hope someone is listening? We all do right? Don't misinterpret this as a personal cry for help or anything like that, but more those moments when life gets so frustrating and so heavy that you feel like you are going to explode? Everything will be fine if you don't, but it is just all bottled up inside you? Maybe it is surface level frustrations about work or disagreements with friends, parents, or said significant other. Maybe it is something deeper, something personal, something where you arn't seen or can't be yourself. Maybe you just need a release, an out, somewhere to vent.
Sure, random internet stranger, I feel you, whats your point? Here is the punch line...in those moments we can rarely find that person. We we have friends around, have that partner, but maybe we can't talk to them in fear of what that may say, maybe we are too embarrassed, or scared, or worried, or ashamed, or ___________ (insert that emotion you are currently thinking about). Some folks keep it in, others talk to a therapist (very much recommend this route), and some turn to reddit only to face unwanted posts or ghosting which only further puts the weight and frustration on you rather than finding that out.
I'd like to offer that outlet, because sure, I need one too. Lets talk. I realize this isn't a post about my nerdy likes or my hobbies, but it is a post to serve as an invitation. Bring whatever is weighing you down, and lets chat. We can get to the rest as we go.
