As the UK fumbles it's way through opening back up after a long lockdown, I'm looking for some platonic internet pen friends to chat to and share stories with.

Because of my work situation I'm trying to be careful about the amount of social contact I have, but really miss chatting to new folk! I've met people on here before and enjoyed learning about their lives but in my experience it usually peters out after a few messages.

About me: as title says I'm 31F and live in a medium sized city in the UK. In real life I'm quite introverted but once I get to know someone I'm much chattier. Until now my biggest passion in life has been people and issues of social equality. My career choice reflects that although I've recently found myself feeling burnout for the first time in my working life. My other interests are animals and wildlife-if you can name an animal chances are I can probably tell you at least one interesting thing about it. I don't have any pets of my own but have a growing collection of cactuses. Also love books and am slowly and awkwardly trying to brush up my French. I like to send long messages so if you're the same we might be a good fit!

About you: I don't have any preference around gender, sexual orientation, race etc. I'm only looking for platonic correspondence and ideally with folk in a similar age range (30-40). Bonus points if you're from Canada or Australia as I was planning to travel there before covid knocked that on the head, or if you want to send vegetarian recipes or book recommendations :) look forward to hearing from you!
