Long time lurker, first time poster, etc. I moved to Canada for work about 9 months ago and still don't actually know anybody here but hey, that means plenty of time for snail mail, right?

• Compulsive DIYer/Hobbyist: from knitting/crochet to sewing, cooking, furniture restoration. You name it, I've probably tried it.
• Enjoys thrifting, vintage antiques (though my personal aesthetic is to blend in old modern stuff)
• Have been pen-palling for 12 years now.
• Prolific sushi eater.
• Enjoys day-long picnics, especially with beers and friends.
• I work in gaming, in a job that nobody ever believes is real.
• Has glorious intentions of ditching my stressful city life for some kind of rural semi-off-the-grid situation one day.

I'm a really open minded, down to earth kind of a person who is accepting of all types of people, so I'm happy to hear from anybody who thinks we'll have a thing or two in common to chat about.
