Good morning, afternoon, or night!
I posted here a couple nights ago seeking some folk to talk with, and while I did get a couple hits the conversations eventually tapered off. I blame myself for not putting enough meat in my post.
I'm a 31 year old male from Canada, as well as a Virgo for those of you wondering. I'm currently living in British Columbia, but was born in New Brunswick so throughout my life I've been making my way farther and farther West.
To accompany my journey to British Columbia I left a 12 year career with thoughts of doing one thing, but, through a stroke of luck, ended up doing something else entirely. I just finished my first week, and while it's too soon to tell if this will be my next lifelong endeavor I really, really enjoyed what I've observed.
Like I said in my last post I'm also studying Mandarin Chinese, this was my COVID-19 project - I assume there are other people who decided to pick up some weird hobbies or projects as well? If so, let me know!
I enjoy reading, but have been listening to Audiobooks more and more in the recent months due to the fact that I would find myself driving and commuting a lot. Right now I haven't got anything on the go that I really want to sink my teeth into, but before this dry spell I was listening to a series called Scythe by Neil Shusterman (I just did a Google search to ensure I spelt his name right and found out that there's an Unwind collection).
My last true penpal - through which we sent eachother snail mail - was from Korea and it happened back when I was in High School, I sent her home address a letter back before Christmas but didn't get a response and then I moved. Did she get it? I'll never know. Thankfully, we won't have to go through that process if you don't want as I'm fine with e-mails, snail mail (after a while), and chatting through the Reddit application.
I'm fairly active, and have been practicing martial arts for a while but I can also be the biggest couch potato and slug it while watching YouTube videos. Unfortunately, these days, it's more the latter as I am adjusting to a new schedule. I'll also begin volunteering more this weekend which is something I've been wanting to do for a while.
Aside from YouTube, I like to watch game trailers on my PS5 and Switch more than I actually like to play games on them it would seem. Tonight, I'm playing Cyberpunk, and by sharing this with the entirety of the sub I hope that means I won't back down.
Yes, I do have fictional crushes that exist in books; and
Yes, I can be a bit foolish but I think it's endearing in some regards.
I would hope that we can connect and I hope to hear from you.
Thank you!
