As the title states, I’m interested in the writing habits of the snail mail penpals here. I know that my letters take a long time to make 3-4 hours each, and I’m curious as to how that compares with other peoples! Am I being too meticulous? I don’t know anyone else with the hobby besides my PenPal so I figured I’d get some interesting responses here.
How long does it take you to write a single PenPal letter? This includes any decorating or embellishments. Just start of letter to dropping it to the post time wise!
Do you decorate the letters? Are they plain? Themed? Do you include stickers and goods? Is it just old fashioned writing?
How far apart do your letters tend to be? Are you sending a letter to each PenPal weekly but each PenPal gets one letter a month? Do you only have one PenPal and writing more/less frequently?
What would you say is the single most important part of your stationary supplies? Do you value the paper most? Ink? Pen? Stickers? Wax seal?
If there was one thing you could change or add to your letters, what would it be? For example, I wish I had actually flat paper stationary because currently all my letters are written on multiple folded cards. I also wish I could hand letter or write calligraphy to make them seem more fancy.
