hi everyone!
i posted here a year or two ago, but since then i lost contact with everyone before we even got to the stage of feeling comfortable of writing to one another. since life has been less hectic for me, i thought it'd be nice to try to find a pen pal again. i don't have a particular age/gender preference for a pen pal, however i do require that they're open-minded. ideally, we'll start with emailing or the sorts. and by the end, i'll have one (or perhaps two) pen pals by the end since i tend to put more effort than i'd like to admit into the cards i make and prefer to get to know someone very well (quality >>> quantity). :')
so a little about me:
- graduated last spring with a bachelors in electrical engineering
- currently work as a network engineer from home (not the most interesting job to me, but it's stable)
- i'm into the FIRE (financial independence retire early) community and want to leave the corporate life as soon as i reasonably can. ultimately, i want to figure out what i actually want to do with my life without financial security being an obstacle
hobbies:
- doodling/scribbling, arts & crafts, and tinkering
- using my phone to identify plants, take pictures of things that happen to fancy me, and geocache
- aimlessly wander around and enjoy nature
- reading/hoarding children's books as well as books/articles concerning self-help, financial literacy, philosophy, psychology, popular science (e.g. astronomy, neuroscience), botany/mycology, and generally anything else that happens to pique my interest at the moment
- eating tasty food... does that count as a hobby?
favorite...
- color: probably dark red (but if i get to be a special snowflake, probably periwinkle or maybe maroon)
- book: hands down the little prince (but i also recently read the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse which i enjoyed quite a bit!)
- food: i like potatoes! but also a nice ramen, poke, or sushi is good too! indian food is also awesome and same goes for mediterranean food. LOL. clearly, i can't decide.
- aesthetic/style: a mix of hygge, wabi-sabi, industrial, vintage, and cottage core. idk what that would actually look like, but yeah! >:D
i'm honestly pretty socially awkward and sort of blunt, but i'm pretty decent at listening and problem solving. writing this post almost feels like an interview since i'm sort of just "marketing" myself by putting myself out there. anyways, if you got to the end of this post, thank you for taking the time to read this. i tend to ramble a lot. feel free to reach out and tell me a little about yourself as well! glad to make your acquaintance! :)
