I’m interested in getting to know one or two people from different backgrounds than my own. As far as prerequisites, I only ask for someone within 3 years of my age, someone interested in only a friendly correspondence, and someone who lives at a minimum of 100 miles away. Depending on the progression of conversation, I may want to exchange Polaroids of where I live or my darling cats, but the chances of us meeting in person are slim to none. I would like a stranger to confide in, and learn about. Additionally, I hope to keep conversation casual and allow for variations in schedule. I know I am busy at this point in my life and I am not alone. I expect to send letters no more than once every two weeks.

I am learning Latin currently, and learning how to cook. I am interested in many things dark academia, in other words, curiosities of the past and comforts of the present. Among such interests are fountain pens, historical dress and hair, and the admiration of increasingly obscure arts.

I think it’d be much more interesting to write to someone who has nothing in common with me. Someone who likes film or video games or has been to exotic places. In the unknown is where we expand our understanding of self. Tell me all about your day, from the cultural aspects to the day-to-day mundanity, to the most important day of your life. Actually, tell me anything about what makes you. I enjoy surprises, though please keep them pg.

As far as the physical letters and such, I would be willing to send samples of projects in my writing on occasion. I have wax seals to use, nice paper and pens, and more, which I haven’t had the opportunity to use. I currently have one email pal, but am not interested in using technology to communicate. I have had several pen pals in the past, but all have fallen through.
