Hey there everyone! My name is Kris and I am an (almost) 29 year old woman (my bday is in a few days) living on the east coast of the US, although my country of origin is Armenia.
Some info about myself (in bullet form because I guess that's how I organize my thoughts):
- interested in science, tech, philosophy, psychology, literature
- enjoy learning about different languages and cultures (would love to learn about yours!)
- very influenced by and involved in my Armenian culture (born there and lived there for a recent 3 years)
- do some creative writing when inspiration hits (it'd be cool to share creative habits and motivate each other)
- into fitness, martial arts, hiking
- currently work as an ESL teacher at a school
- enjoy discussing/dissecting films and shows (esp into sci-fi films like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Tarkovsky's Solaris, Arrival, etc.)
- recently moved into my own place so have been slowly trying to make it my own
- I have a pet python and some succulents/cacti
- love late night car rides with windows down and music blasting
- speaking of which: eclectic music taste (send me alllllllllll the music recommendations)
- favorite season is autumn (so I'm def enjoying these misty mornings and all the fall colors!)
I've had pen pals (both snail mail and virtual) at different points in my life and recently, with a lot of big changes happening--both on a personal level and a larger scale--I feel like I'd like to meet new people again! Whether it be something as light as connecting on a hobby or a show we both like, having the "I thought I was the only one who thought/experienced that" moment, or cultivating a long-term friendship; I'm up for simple conversations as well as deeper connections.
I guess those are some good starting points. We can start chatting on reddit/email and then maybe we could send physical letters, postcards, and similar things down the line. Feel free to message if you're interested in chatting!
Hope to hear from you :)
