Looking for Snail Mail Pals from Anywhere and Everywhere
Post Body

Hi everyone. It's been ages since I've had pen pals but I would like to get back into it. I was corresponding with my elderly aunt for the past couple of years, when I lived near her I wasn't as close to her as I became through our correspondences with each other. Maybe it has something to do with being able to write about things that you might not even talk about in person because you think it's mundane or doesn't have anything to do with why you are visiting in person, etc. Anyway, she passed a few months ago and since her passing I have no one to correspond with and I miss that.

So about me,

I'm 55, straight female, I have been dating my boyfriend for almost three years, we met when he showed up to buy my $500 beater car on New Year's Eve one very cold morning. He lost his mom a couple of months before my aunt passed, so we're both sad together some days. (My parents have been gone for years now).

I work from home for Enterprise Rent a Car, I've been a customer service agent with them for a couple of years but since July have been helping out with Roadside Assistance calls. I'm supposed to go back to Customer Service in November.

Anyway, I love animals, I have two furbabies, both are cats. I like dogs but aside from being more work to care for, I can't have noise in the background while I'm working and I'd be worried about barking. I love birds - outside my window, not in my house. I love looking out and seeing nature and animals in nature.

I have a son, he turned 28 two weeks ago.

I currently live in Chattanooga, TN. I am from NE Ohio area but have lived in the Chattanooga on and off over the years starting in 1987. This most recent time, I've been living here since 2014.

I enjoy a little bit of amateur photography - mostly nature, old buildings, etc. I love r/AbandonedPorn but so far have yet to find anything as amazing as some of the pics on that sub.

I also enjoy paper embroidery (I do my own greeting cards), thrift store browsing, Amazon shopping (mostly window shopping although my boyfriend thinks I am trying to buy one of everything on that website). I used to be an avid reader but my eyesight isn't as great as it used to be and after looking at a computer screen all day long, I just can't handle reading books as much anymore so I am avid audible book listener. Love mystery, horror that isn't Stephen King or Dean Koontz, funny authors like Christopher Moore or Benjamin Wallace. I also enjoy the occasional dramatic read, loved "The Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline or "600 Hours of Edward" by Craig Lancaster.

I am not a fan of the current administration (if you are a fan, don't write me and tell me how wonderful he is, please keep those thoughts to yourself). I am not Christian. I don't really affiliate with any religion, I believe that is a very personal choice and what path you choose might be great for you but not great for someone else.

I am open for discussions about just about anything - ghosts, paranormal, reincarnation, current events, television shows, movies, books, whatever is happening in your part of the world.

Ideally I'd like to write to people who have similar interests that are mature for their age or are closer to my age. Gender and sexual orientation are not an issue, I just want to correspond with friendly, people.

PM me with either your address (in that case I'll write you first) or ask me for my address and let's get to know each other better.

Btw, I am a letter typer, no one would be able to read my handwriting if I had to hand write the letters. I'm okay with other letter typers.
