I am a 44F married living in south-western Ontario (Canada). I would like write to someone outside of Canada, preferably over 35, M or F, and snail mail or email (can start with Reddit Messages, but I’d rather not, I can sometimes go weeks without being on here). I love pens and stationary and would love any excuse to buy more.

I work for an automotive manufacturing company at a job I hate. I have a degree in Civil Engineering (but my work experience was all environmental), and went back and got a certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. I grew up an army brat so I have lived in many places in Canada as well as in Germany, before my dad retired back to this part of Canada (where he is from).

I am trying to write more, so I hope that having a pen pal will help with my writing skills. I have written a number of stories but lost most when my computer died at the end of March, thankfully my latest project is on Google Docs. I have participated in NaNoWriMo for several years.

I describe myself as an introvert, but like social gatherings in small doses.

I like to read, but am trying to curb my book addiction by reading more ebooks and listening to audio books (at work), but I still love a good book I can display on one of my many bookcases. I will read pretty much anything (true crime, biography, horror, self improvement, health, history, fiction, and more). Secret Santa sent me my first SciFi book last year and although it was so huge, I loved it. I also listen to podcasts (a bunch, but lately just ebooks).

I watch way too much TV and since covid hit we’ve added FireTV, Netflix and Disney . Some of what I watched and really enjoyed these last few months are the Man in the High Castle (actually watched it 3x, there are a couple episodes I watch just for fun, I love Rufus Sewell), the Punisher, the 100, Ozark, Tiger King, Carnival Row, American Gods, Hunters. I started Sons of Anarchy last week and am upset I only get season 1.

I play a few video games (kind of new to it, looking to get a gaming PC so I can play Fortnite, don’t like it on the Switch). Also own a Wii and Switch. I love all Mario games, Zelda, Fortnite, Just Dance, I own way too many games. I also like board and card games if I can get someone to play with me.

I also garden, I have a small veggie garden (about 10ft x 12 ft) that also has blueberries and strawberries. I also have flowers and shrubs in the front yard. I try to make my yard low maintenance, but there is always something to do, and I love to be outside.

I have never written this much about myself.
