Hello folks,

It seems like there is so much going on - and it would be great to meet new people outside of my current circle of friends. My name is Mayte (My-teh) from Chicago (26F)!

I am one for a good walk here and there - I deeply appreciate the public transit in my city. I'm learning to drive but having to overcome some nervousness around it. I am going into my 3rd semester of my Master's program in Language and Literacies - I am also gearing up for the new school year as a teacher. I am avid watcher of K-Dramas with my grandmother - we watch them dubbed in Spanish. Besides that I am not big TV show person - though I do want to watch more shows and more movies. I am big into books now - but I have to read multiple books at once so that I can maintain interest in them...graphic novels are a big love for me right now! I am specializing in children's and YA literature through my program - so I tend to get into those types of books too. I am open to any sorts of conversations! Whether it's about music releases, the results of the Olympics or what not. Mortality is a heavy thing, but I want to foster and grow hope where possible - and I think these communications with one another would be great!

I'll have to figure out international mail - but I'll get those sorts of stamps purchased in due time. For email purposes, I'm down for anything.
