I recently smoked pipe tobacco and some cigars in my backyard. I have a mustache again, as usual. Recently shaved my beard, grown after a clean-shaven period.

I'm interested in history, menswear, dressing up, foreign languages. I'm a classic car owner. I have a lifetime Babbel subcription. I love the smell of old comic books (And everything else about old comic books too, especially classic Batman and Spider-Man).

I'm reading many books slowly, including fiction and non-fiction. I keep my place with bookmarks. I'm going to be visiting five countries in Europe soon.

I recently watched two black and white films on Turner Classic Movies: The 400 Lashes (French fifties film about a delinquent boy) and Charlie Chaplin's Hitler satire, the Great Dictator. A few nights ago I caught the latter chunk of Thief of Bagdad. The other night I caught Sophie's Choice with Meryl Streep, There Will Be Blood, (Based on the novel Oil! by Upton Sinclair which I'm reading) and Midnight Cowboy. I caught the latter half of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (With a young Maggie Smith, who played McGonagall in Harry Potter) and the 1980 Alan Parker film Fame.

This past night I watched a Steven Spielberg film, something I rarely do, Poltergeist.
