- Because Tamox is only prescribed after cancer is detected, as a deterrent for further growth. Karisma is testing Endox as a preventative measure: increased breast density not only makes mammograms harder to read, but is an early-indicator for potential cancer in the future.

If Endox can reduce breast density, it could prevent cancer from forming in the first place. To put it another way… woman goes for a mammogram, doc says “you have heavy breast density, take this Endox pill for six months.” 10M women in the US alone have high breast density.
