It's an awful feeling to know that where there is emptiness, contentment should be. Not knowing when the affection slipped away is its own problem, but I've given up trying to find where it went wrong and have resolved to find how I can right the ship. I know it's possible to feel butterflies again. I know someone is out there whose voice and mannerisms will make me flutter. Hence, I am here.
Another thing I'm aware of is what I like: petite women. That doesn't necessarily mean "skinny." We all have body f-t and I'm not here to shame nor judge someone's cellulite. A woman who has a smaller frame, who would be considered "small" is absolutely my speed. I'm not towering in my own right, so it tends to be a good match.
Mentally, I'm drawn to nerds and artsy types (who doesn't swoon for a beautiful voice?) but chemistry isn't something you draw up on paper. Two dialectically different people with little in common can have a powerful connection. If we click, we click.
On a personal level, I work in tech and am a writer. Staying in shape is important to me, as is staying busy with way too many hobbies.
