I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any statistics or information on the difference between the pennfoster GED and a normal high school graduation. I just got mine few months ago and I’m curious to see if people have struggled with just having a ged. I was told by many people that having a ged would make it less likely for me to get into college and into the field of work that I want to go into.
Those people are TOTALLY lying to you. The GED is a state issues exam with a number just like a drivers license. You can get into ANY college in the US with one. I can’t even begin to tell you the jobs I’ve gotten with mine. Penn Foster is wasting your time and money, the GED book is on Amazon and the test is like $30.00 and only has like three sections.

You’re welcome, if you’re low income. You can receive what is called Pell Grant which is free money to go to school and your local community college may offer plumbing at least as a certificate instead of an associates degree. And with Pell Grant, you can pay your tuition, books and fess and still have a couple of thousand dollars left. It’s dispersed twice a year.
