NOTE: I have a FireTV Stick 4K on this television that successfully casts, but my intention is for this (too) expensive tv to work as advertised. The casting (the one time I got it to work months ago) is also much clearer when done directly.

I have a Sony XBR85X850F with built in Miracast. One time, this past summer I was able to cast my bike to the tv directly and it was a glorious day. Since then, no luck.

I’ve troubleshooted using all of the steps found in theSony help section several times to no avail.

It get so far as to discover the tv, and say casting to “TV” (the name of the device), the bike then says connecting, the tv says “WiFi device connected”, then after about 20ish second the bike says “not receiving data from TV”.

Since casting works with the firetv stick (albeit with a less crisp and seemingly slight jitter), it makes me think it’s the tv not the bike.

Anybody have any idea what’s going on?
