I've been on the fence about a pellet grill. How much difference are they truly than the oven in your home? All the food looks like it needs more sear and people complain about the lack of smoke. What am I missing? Why do you like your pellet over your oven? Does it really add that much extra flavor or is it just the idea of cooking outside.
I have a Recteq 1250. The flavor is there, but as stated maybe not as strong as a stick burner. Searing capability is there in mine. It will get over 500 and upwards of 600. The new Dual fire from Recteq looks great.
