Misfit For Pebble

has anyone had a positive experience while using the misfit app on the pebble( they are the creators of shine, who recently partnered with Pebble ) ive noticed the app doesn't track your progress in the background you have to constantly have the misfit app open which kind of defeats the purpose of the pebble being a multiple functionality of the smart watch
