Every week on the Queens of the Stone Age subreddit we take a dive into a band that has collaborated with, has influenced, has been influenced by or has toured with Josh Homme and our very own desert rockers.
This week we unearth a hidden gem. Wellwater Conspiracy started as a side project for Matt Cameron and fellow Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd. It grew out of Hater and then became its own thing, with their first album coming out between Badmotorfinger and Superunknown. Josh Homme of Queens features prominently on the second album.
You may also be aware that Matt Cameron performed as the drummer for Queens of the Stone Age at their first-ever gig in Seattle in 1997. And if you know Wellwater Conspiracy at all, you may also be aware that Eddie Vedder performed on their third album.
Come check out the write up! You may learn something new, or you may have something cool to contribute. Look forward to reading any comments that you'd like to add.
See you there!
