Pearl Jam is my favorite band, and Yield is my favorite album of all time. The self-titled Avocado album and Lightning Bolt are the only two albums I never really connected with and after hearing all of the buzz about Dark Matter and hearing the title track, I've been anticipating that this one would become a favorite of mine. Of course I pre-ordered it, but today I made the mistake of taking an early listen and now I'm bummed because this is not what I thought it would be. The best part of being a Pearl Jam fan is having such an amazing catalog of music to keep you company while you wait for the next album that blows your mind, so I can always throw on my favorites playlist and pepper in the new stuff to see if it grows on me.

Has anyone else heard all of it yet? What are your thoughts?
