Applying for the Peace Corps while abroad
Post Body

I will be teaching English in China beginning August and I am looking to go into the Peace Corps right after I finish my contract. Currently, I am in the process of completing my application for the Peace Corps and soon, all I have to do is press submit to send my application away. However, I know there is a medical screening component and I have no idea how I'm going to complete that while in China. I was told (by a representative in the DC branch) that I could go to a Chinese hospital and see a doctor who can fill out application forms in English. I want to know if this is possible and I want to ask current or prospective Peace Corps Volunteers what they had to do during the medical screening.

I plan on submitting my application in November or December and then hope to leave for service a year later. I will be coming back to the US in August 2013.
