I know that everyone will instinctively come to the defense about the Peace Corps never going away, but think about it for a second. Once this pandemic fully clears over, this world is going to see drastic changes in sanitation and healthcare. It makes me wonder whether it will make the government think it's too dangerous to send out volunteers. Also, with the expected economic downfall, I'm sure Peace Corps will be one of the first things on the chopping block or, best case scenario, receive major funding cuts.
I planned to apply around October of this year but now I'm think I will need a back-up plan to my back-up. Anyone else have this same worry?
